Black History 365
A Partnership Rooted in Truth, Education, and Human Restoration
Dominick Clayton’s (D. Clayton Holdings) partnership with Black History 365 Education is rooted in a shared belief: education should tell the truth, honor the full human story, and equip students, educators, and communities to engage history with greater honesty, depth, and courage. BH365 describes its work as a comprehensive K–12 curriculum built to help students become critical thinkers, compassionate listeners, fact-based communicators, and action-oriented solutionists.
As a member of the Professional Development Team, Dominick contributes to that mission through his work as an educator, speaker, and curriculum-centered thought partner. BH365’s team page identifies him as an award-winning educator whose leadership journey began after teaching special education math, and whose passion has long been centered on creating and developing whole human beings.
That emphasis on whole human beings is not incidental. It is one of the clearest places where Dominick’s work and BH365’s mission meet. On Dominick’s own site materials, his work is framed around challenging false narratives, confronting historical distortions, and guiding individuals and communities toward healing through truth. The site also describes him as a proud contributor to the Black History 365 curriculum, committed to helping education tell the whole truth and creating room for reflection, reckoning, and repair.
Why This Partnership Matters
For too long, history has too often been narrowed, softened, or taught as though some stories are central and others are optional. BH365’s work pushes in the opposite direction. Their curriculum is designed not as a side note or seasonal gesture, but as a year-round, inclusive account of American history supported by planning guides, instructional tools, family and community engagement resources, restorative and wellness activities, audio/visual supplements, and electronic assessments. It is also backed by more than 3,000 original artifacts.
BH365 also makes a direct case for why all students benefit from learning across cultures and histories, arguing that when students grapple honestly with varied pasts, they are better prepared to help create the future they deserve. The organization further explains that educators themselves need more inclusive resources and support in order to unlearn historical bias and teach well-rounded lessons that engage all students.
That is the kind of work Dominick Clayton is proud to stand beside.
Dominick’s Role
Dominick’s contribution to BH365 is not cosmetic. It is aligned with the deepest concerns of his broader work: truth-telling, rehumanization, educational integrity, and the restoration of moral clarity in public life. His site describes him as an educator, speaker, and curriculum architect whose work is designed not merely to inform, but to transform. With more than 20 years working inside educational systems, he brings both lived wisdom and institutional understanding to school engagements, professional development, curriculum conversations, and public dialogue.
The same materials describe Dominick’s school-facing work as including professional development, curriculum consulting, student programming, administrator coaching, and district-wide engagements. That makes this partnership especially meaningful: BH365 offers a robust curriculum foundation, and Dominick helps bring truth-centered engagement to life in the rooms where it matters most.
